Welcome to Stow Hall Gardens Quiet Mornings, a new monthly reflective space that will allow your thoughts to settle and help you reconnect with the restorative power of nature. Sometime we all need to step away from the busyness of life, switch off our screens, silence our phones and soften our focus. These quiet morning give you the chance to do just that surrounded by the beauty of Stow Hall Gardens. This is an open group, meeting each month, so you’re welcome to come along whenever you need some headspace. Advance booking required.
What exactly happens?
The session begins with a hot drink in the Fork Handles Cafe, where the group will be offered an optional focus for the morning. You’ll then have time alone in the gardens to wander, journal, think or simply be. There is no set agenda. We’ll close with a reflective exercise to help you gather your thoughts and the chance to share what you’re taking away. You can share as much or as little as you like with the group.
Practical details:
We will meet whatever the weather, so please dress warmly as you’ll be spending time outdoors.
You are invited to:
- Bring a question or enquiry (which can remain private to you)
- Bring your journal, notebook, pens, paints and anything that helps you think and reflect.
- Stay on afterwards to enjoy Stow Hall Gardens at leisure and a delicious lunch or tea in the Fork Handles Cafe (not included)
A word on ‘Quiet’:
These sessions are for people who want a couple of hours of quiet. Total silence is not required, but please be mindful that most people will be coming for stillness, reflection and headspace. We ask that each participant respects that.
If you’re unsure whether this group is suitable for you, or have further questions, you’re welcome to get in touch.
